Adding a new child to your family is a huge milestone and deserves to be celebrated, I would be honoured to be the one to capture these moments for you. My style of photography leans towards capturing love and connection with natural poses, neutral tones and a timeless feel. I truly want you to be able to enjoy these images years from now when your baby is all grown up.

The Studio

Newborn sessions take place in my home based studio. Here I have created a warm and inviting environment that is perfect for taking newborn pictures. I have a large daybed for connective family photos, lots of plants and greenery, my giant bean bag for posing baby, and my giant strobe light which helps achieve those beautiful soft colours in my editing. 

I also have a little sitting area for clients to relax (I've even caught a few people getting cozy and taking a nap) and a little play area for toddlers.  

The Session

Once baby arrives we will book your session in the first 7-21 days, sessions are booked Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Depending on the type of session you book it will take one to three hours, but this can vary depending on baby (you can't simply tell them what to do). With my ten years of experience very little phases me and I will use my bag of tricks to help settle baby and keep them happy throughout the session.

The Wardrobe

Over the years I have built up quite the wardrobe for my clients to choose from. These include dresses for mom, heirloom outfits and wraps for baby, headbands and bonnets, plus outfits for toddlers and older siblings. You won't need to worry about dressing up to come to your session, just show up in something comfortable and I will help style your session to look beautiful. 

The Process

We will begin by booking your session and adding your due date to my calendar, since babies arrivals can be unpredictable will book the actual session once baby makes an appearance. This is usually within the first 7-21 days after birth. 

After your session I will post a sneak peek within 48 hours. I then like to give myself 2-3 weeks to curate and edit a beautiful gallery for you (this is the most time consuming part of a newborn session). Once you receive your online gallery you will be able to download your digital images and it is my hope that we will also get to work on creating some prints together.
