Women's bodies are incredible, the fact that it can grow a baby without even thinking about it is a miracle. I absolutely love getting to celebrate this special time with you through beautiful and timeless images.
The Session
Depending on the type of session you book we have the option of doing your session in-studio or outdoors. In-studio sessions are booked on Tuesdays and Thursdays and outdoor sessions are booked in the evenings closer to sunset.
It is always my hope that you feel comfortable at the session and I will guide you through the poses. Nude or semi-nude maternity photos can be beautiful and some clients really want to have these but I always make this optional.
The Wardrobe
Over the years I have built up quite the wardrobe for my clients to choose from. These include simple dresses to gorgeous gowns imported from Europe (the answer is yes you can wear a gown that costs more than your session investment). I also have outfits for toddlers as well up to 3T.
We will begin by trying on dresses at my studio and you can choose something you feel comfortable wearing.
The Process
We will begin by booking your session and I recommend choosing a date 4-8 weeks before your due date (you'll want to keep in mind how much you are showing when choosing a date, first time moms I usually recommend 4-6 weeks before your due date and second time moms usually 6-8 weeks before).
After your session I will post a sneak peek within 48 hours. I then like to give myself 2-3 weeks to curate and edit a beautiful gallery for you (this is the most time consuming part of a newborn session). Once you receive your online gallery you will be able to download your digital images and it is my hope that we will also get to work on creating some prints together.
