Documenting moments you don't want to forget 

I don't think a quote has ever resonated more than "the days are long but the years are short". I love getting to document families as they grow and provide them with beautiful memories to look back on at every stage. As they say all too often "time flies" or "time is a thief" 

The Session

I book family sessions on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday evenings throughout the summer and fall. The best lighting is golden hour (about 30 minutes before sunset); however, in our northern city it is hard to pull that off with littles so I usually recommend booking your session before bedtime (packing your pjs and snack for the ride home usually works quite well!).

We will also get to choose a location, I have a few favourites I can recommend but I'm also open to doing in-home sessions or going to one of your favourite spots!

The Wardrobe

I want your family to feel like you! Everyone is different so I suggest dressing in a style you love. Also if you are debating between a few outfit choices I'm happy to help with what I think would photograph best.

The Process

First we will decide on a date and location and then I'll add you to my calendar. After we have taken care of the booking requirements I will send out my prep guide which includes lots of helpful tips and tricks to make sure your session goes smoothly. With being an outdoor session we will have to factor in the weather and may need to reschedule if it is stormy. 

After your session I will post a sneak peek within 48 hours. I then like to give myself 2-3 weeks to curate and edit a beautiful gallery for you (this is the most time consuming part as I do spend time removing blemishes and visible cuts and bruises). Once you receive your online gallery you will be able to download your digital images and it is my hope that we will also get to work on creating some prints together.
